5 Spooky Mint Cocktails for Halloween

Halloween drinks have a type: neon green, blood red, and a lot of dry ice. But the best ones are also properly good to drink, and that's where a clean, cooling peppermint liqueur comes in. POLAR's crisp mint cuts through autumn spice, plays well with coffee and bitters, and looks suitably eerie in a glass.
Here are five serves to scare up for your Halloween party, from a poison apple sour to a blood-red tiki.
Poison Apple

Autumn in a glass, with a little menace.
- 25ml POLAR
- 20ml gin
- 20ml spiced apple syrup
- 25ml lemon juice
Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake, and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a thin apple slice, or a dusting of cinnamon for extra spiciness.
Witch's Brew

Bright, green and dangerously drinkable.
- 50ml vodka
- 20ml POLAR
- 25ml lemon juice
- 10ml passion fruit syrup
- 15ml Midori (or other melon liqueur)
Add everything to a glass filled with ice, stir, and serve. Garnish with a dried citrus wheel, and a plastic spider if you're feeling committed.
Blood Drip

A mint-forward tiki that bleeds as you drink it.
- 37.5ml POLAR
- 25ml rum
- 20ml lemon juice
- 10ml orgeat
- Peychaud's bitters, to top
Build in a tall glass over ice, then finish with a generous top of Peychaud's bitters so the red bleeds down through the drink. Garnish with mint.
Vampire's Kiss

Dark pink, floral and a little bit dangerous.
- 20ml POLAR
- 40ml vodka
- 15ml lime juice
- 15ml honey syrup
- 15ml violette liqueur
Shake all the ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with an edible flower or a dried rose petal.
Midnight Espresso

For the witching hour. A mint and coffee match made in the crypt.
- 25ml POLAR
- 25ml vodka
- 25ml Kahlua
- 25ml fresh espresso
Wet shake, then dry shake, and strain into a chilled glass. Serve with three coffee beans on top.
Happy Halloween!
